Today, EA Sports through their Twitter account revealed the first four Ones To Watch (OTW) players for FIFA 23. All four OTW players belong to Premier League, Sterling of Chelsea, Darwin Nunez of Liverpool, Haaland of Manchester City and the Brazilian Richarlison who has just moved to Tottenham.
Ones To Watch players get upgraded via the ‘Wins to Watch’ mechanic – based on their team/country real world performances. This year because of FIFA World Cup, the criteria of upgrade for OTW cards have changed.
- For every TOTW/POTM card player receive, they get +1 OTW card upgrade.
- Their club wins 3 out of next 8 league games (starting September 30th), they get +1 OTW card upgrade
- Their nation wins one game at the FIFA WORLD CUP 2022, they get +1 OTW card upgrade.
It is important to note here that, OTW players do not have to feature in the game, or be part of their nation’s squad to be eligible for an upgrade.
FIFA 23 will be available from 27 September for Ultimate Edition users who pre-ordered the game and globally on 30 September for all the other users on various platforms.
