FUT Champions is a game mode within FIFA Ultimate Team that rewards the best players usually with good prizes. It includes two stages: Play-Offs and Champions Finals, previously known as Weekend League. The rewards are based on the total points in each stage and can be a mix of coins, red picks, tradeable packs and untradeable packs.

Here is everything you need to know about FIFA 23 FUT CHAMPIONS :
FUT CHAMPIONS PLAY-OFFS
The Play-Offs is the first stage of FUT Champions. It’s open the entire duration of the FUT Season, so you can take it at your own pace.
There are a limited number of Play-Off entries per FUT Season, which you can see in-game. This limit resets with the start of each new Season, which usually occurs approximately every six weeks.
How do I qualify for Play-Offs?
Play Division Rivals to earn Champions Qualification Points (CQP). When you reach the required number of CQP to enter the Play-Offs, you will be automatically entered into the current event. You can see how much CQP is required to qualify for Play-Offs by checking in-game.
Where can I see how many FUT Champions Qualification Points I have?
Find your FUT Champions Qualification Points balance in-game:
- Go into FUT
- Select Play then select FUT Champions
You can also enter the Rivals tile, then select the Champions tab to see your total there.
How do I earn FUT Champions Play-Offs rewards?
You’ll get rewards once you finish the available amount of matches (maximum of 10) in the competition. You can also choose to end your current Play-Offs event at any point, even before completing all your matches, allowing you to collect the available rewards immediately. If you don’t finish all your Play-Off matches before a FUT Season ends, you’ll automatically get whatever rewards you have earned from the matches that you did complete.
You can check your progression in-game, and see what the requirements and rewards are for each Rank.
FUT CHAMPIONS FINALS
The Finals are the second stage of FUT Champions. Check in-game for the latest schedule as Finals events are only open at limited times.
How do I qualify for Finals?
You qualify for the FUT Champions Finals by earning enough points in the FUT Champions Play-Offs to get a Finals Qualification Token. You’ll then choose when you want to participate in the Finals by spending the Token.
How do I earn FUT Champions Finals rewards?
You’ll get rewards as soon as you complete the amount of available matches or when the event expires, whichever happens first.
However, unlike the Play-Offs, you can’t end a Finals event early. There’s also a much tighter time limit for Finals events. If you haven’t completed all of your matches before it ends, you’ll only get the rewards for what you’ve earned.
When can I redeem my Champions Finals Qualification Token?
You can choose when to redeem your Champions Finals Qualification Token, but when you do, it will enter you into the next available Champions Finals event. Make sure to only redeem your Finals Token when you’re ready to play your matches.
To redeem your Token, enter the FUT Champions Mode and follow the instructions on-screen.
Didn’t use your Finals Token by the end of a Season? Don’t worry, it carries over to the next Season.
I accidentally started a Champions Finals run, can I cancel my entry and start another time?
Your entry into this competition is final and can’t be reversed.
MATCHMAKING
How does matchmaking work?
Matchmaking in FUT Champions Play-Offs and Finals is based on two things:
- Your location. This determines which dedicated FIFA Game Data Center location will be used for your match.
- Your current Form in Play-Offs or Finals. This means you’ll be matched with players that have a similar Form as you.
- Form does not carry over between the two competitions. Your Form is zero whenever you are first starting a Play-Offs or Finals.
What is Form? And how is it generated?
Your Form in FUT Champions Play-Offs and Finals (respectively) is a record of all the matches that you have played in the current competition. You start every competition with your Form at zero, and it changes based on your results.
Here’s an example. Say the results of your first five games of a Play-Offs run were W/L/L/W/W.
Your Form after those five matches would end up at +1. That’s because you gain +1 for each win and lose -1 for each loss.
- Before your first match, your Form is at 0.
- You won the first match, so you earn 1. Form now at +1.
- You lost the second match, so you lose 1. Form now at 0.
- You lost the third match, so you lose another 1. Form now at -1.
- You win the fourth match, so you earn 1. Form now at 0 again.
- You win the fifth match, so you earn 1 more. Form now at +1 again.
- That means going into your sixth match, your current Form would be +1.
Are there limits to how much my Form can change?
In FUT Champions Play-Offs, your Form can be as low as -8 and as high as +8.
In FUT Champions Finals, your Form can be as low as -15 and as high as +15.
Can I matchmake with players from other platforms?
You can matchmake with players who are playing on other platforms than you if you have cross-play enabled. You’ll only play against those in the same platform generation as you:
- PlayStation 4 and Xbox One
- PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Stadia, and PC
What kind of rewards could I get by playing Champions Play-Offs and Finals?
The available rewards for each competition are listed in-game and can be seen by viewing your competition progress in-game.
